During last week's Thomaston Rotary Club Board of Directors meeting, President Jeff Dunn shared information about a two-year Club project:  Percussion Play Project.

The Percussion Play Project will expose Thomaston's young children to musical instruments which can help develop hand-eye coordination, improve listening skills, and increase gross and fine motor skills while developing muscle tone in the hands and arms.  Phase one of the Percussion Play Project will be the purchase of a Cadenza, a Small Babel Drum, Soprano Pentatonic Freechimes, and Congas. These instruments will travel to various locations until the Town Green Project is complete, then they will be permanently installed in the ground at the Green.
