Executive Board Meeting to Support the Work of the Thomaston Rotary Club Scholarship Committee
Immediately after the last week's meeting, the Executive Board held a brief meeting to award scholarships totaling $20,000 with $6,500 from Citizen of the Year income, $10,000 from the Scholarship Investment Fund, and 25% of the savings account for scholarships.
Additionally, during this meeting, it was noted that since the Rotary Club presents its scholarships during the Thomaston High School Scholarship Night event and since the Club is awarding scholarships to students who do not attend Thomaston High School, these students will be invited to a future Rotary Club Luncheon to receive their scholarships.
